The Twins win the first and then lose the next three in close fashion, dropping farther under .500 -- which is all still part of David's grand vision for their return to a winning record by mid-summer. David's optimism, though, is limited after seeing the bats go cold and the pitchers prove unable to get the ball to first base in key moments. Dan is not so sure Ryan Jeffers has truly turned a corner, but he is quite sure that a healthy Willi Castro would make a difference right now, considering Rocco Baldelli's bench options. Send us a text For the fourth time this season, the Minnesota Twins lost a series, this time at home to the first-place Detroit Tigers. But they did salvage at least a win, in Game 3, showing that even a fourth-place team still wins once in a while. With David taking a Buxton-like scheduled off-day, Hoges fills in to talk about the team with Dan, and both have lots to say about manager Rocco Baldelli. They question his handling of basically the entire roster, from decisions on pinch-hitting and pinch-running to how long to let starters and relievers stay in the game.
